Check out Big Dutchman's newest innovations at IPPE 2024

Celebrating 85 years of experience...and our innovations keep hatching!

January 23, 2024

After 85 years of business in the poultry industry, Big Dutchman is excited to introduce our latest technology and patent-pending solutions to the market. These innovations will first be rolled out at this year’s International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) trade show. The IPPE trade show is taking place in Atlanta, Georgia January 30-February 1, 2024 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Below are just a few of the many new solutions you’ll get to see if you stop by the Big Dutchman booth:

A truly new cage-free layer concept: NATURA Visio

The newest addition to Big Dutchman’s line-up of cage-free true aviaries, the NATURA® Visio is a two-tier aviary system that we are excited to introduce into the market. Featuring patent-pending designs that will increase overall egg quality and performance, the system has a low profile which makes it easy to retrofit and meet ventilation requirements. Nests, feed, and water are available on both levels and the system can be used in a multi-level structure.

Mobile grader for broiler breeder pullets: Heidy

A new product in the Big Dutchman equipment portfolio, the Heidy is a mobile grader that helps increase the uniformity of broiler breeder pullets. Up to 850 birds can be weighed per hour, and two or three-way sorting is possible. The system is compact in design and made of high-quality materials for easy maintenance and cleaning, and its low overall weight makes it easy to move.

Radar-based wireless silo fill sensor: SiloCheck AIR

Big Dutchman’s new radar-based wireless silo fill sensor, SiloCheck AIR, measures the feed level based on the entire surface of feed in the feed silo. It works completely wirelessly and can be used for all types of feed and silos. When connected to our cloud-based farm management software, BFN Fusion, data can be sent automatically to feed mills or other partners in the value chain for optimized efficiency.

Plastic slats designed specifically for broiler breeders: Honeycomb slats

For farmers looking to optimize the standing area for their broiler breeders, Big Dutchman’s new honeycomb plastic slats could be a great option. The slats have a positive influence on foot pad health, plus, mislaid eggs can roll off into the litter area. Honeycomb slats are made with UV-resistant plastic and maximize manure penetration due to the structure of the openings.

All IPPE trade show attendees are invited to come and check out these innovations for the first time in person. The Big Dutchman booth will be located in Building B, booth #B37011. We hope to see you there!
