Pen gestation or group housing allows sows to move around freely in their pens as apposed to being crated in individual gestation stalls. To feed sows individually, the following stalls and feeding systems can be applied:
  • Pen gestation with quarter stalls
  • Pen gestation with flip stalls
  • Pen gestation with free access stalls
  • Pen gestation with electronic sow feeding

Farrowing pens must provide ideal conditions for both the sow and her pigs. The Big Dutchman farrowing pen has been carefully designed to provide comfort and a safe environment for both.
